POSITION OVERVIEW
As the HR Business Partner, you will be operationally supporting a variety of branch locations throughout Canada, as well as being part of a broader team of Human Resources Professionals across Canada. The HR Business Partner plays an integral role in both the operational and strategic activities of the Human Resource Department for multi-sites at Mitten and Ply Gem. The incumbent in this stand-alone HR role is a well-grounded mid-level HR Professional with a strong ability to motivate, inspire and persuade the organization. The incumbent has a strong generalist background and is relied upon for HR knowledge and expertise at all levels of the organization.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build strong relationships with the organization as the trusted source for all HR related matters.
- Partner with leadership teams to understand key business priorities and HR implications.
- Provide HR strategies, services and programs in organizational development, employee relations, recruitment, orientation and retention, performance management, training and development, health and safety, compensation, and benefits.
- Provide coaching and support to managers, supervisors and associates regarding all HR policies and programs.
- Execute annual HR programs and processes in the areas of attraction, compensation, performance management, and employee development.
- Training of new and existing HR processes and policies to all levels of the organization
- Generate, analyze, and communicate HR reports to assist in the development of business strategies.
- Administration of monthly reports, HR file administration, payroll, benefits, and policy implementation.
- Administration of company benefit plans.
- Be point of contact for employee pay concerns and liaise with payroll for resolve.
- Manage WSIB/WCB and return to work cases.
QUALIFICATIONSEducation
- A Bachelor’s degree/ diploma in Human Resources from a recognized post-secondary institution
- CHRP designation, or working towards
Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of related work experience in a Human Resources Generalist role
Skills/Abilities
- Excellent conflict resolution and communication skills.
- Ability to consider future implications beyond the immediate problem.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with all levels of the organization.
- Comprehensive knowledge of various Provincial Legislation (Employment Standards, Human Rights, Occupational Health & Safety, WSIB, WCB, etc.)
- Data driven, action and results oriented, high work ethic.
- Must work well independently as well as in a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize and finish assigned tasks.
